Lund and Malaspina Peninsula

Lund is a small harbour village at the northern end of Highway 101, on the Malaspina Peninsula north of Powell River.
It is a common starting point for trips into Desolation Sound and across to Savary Island.

What to do

  • Walk the harbour boardwalk and browse the craft shops, cafes and restaurants.
  • Kayak, dive or take a boat tour in Desolation Sound and Copeland Island Marine Parks.
  • Pick oysters and dig clams at Okeover Inlet. Check shellfish closures and red tide notices before harvesting.
  • Take the water taxi to Savary Island for its white sand beaches.

The Sunshine Coast Trail passes near Lund.
